Manchester City are going to target Barcelona star Samuel Eto'o this summer for £20million, so that they have a fighting chance of some silverware next season.

City's billionaire owners told the fans they would get world class players arriving at the club. So far this season's signings haven't made the desired impact.

Their last signing, Robinho, is the British record signing, but has yet showed that he deserves the amount of money paid for him. The signing that never was, Kaka, did little to help the fan's moral.

The bosses of City are hoping that a £120,000 a week salary will persuade the star to hop across the English channel and go up north to Manchester.

There has been speculation all over Europe that his future at the Spanish club is no longer, due to his high demanding salary.

Manchester City are willing to pay him what we wants, but will he join the blues?
