Auburn's 2012 season did not go according to plan.

Only two years after winning the BCS National Championship behind Cam Newton, the Tigers finished with a 3-9 record with zero wins in the SEC.

As a result, the school fired Gene Chizik and hired former offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn.

Malzahn had a solid year at Arkansas State, but he needs to prove that he can win as a head coach in the SEC. His first task is putting together a solid recruiting class.

Here is a breakdown of how the new coach did at his first National Signing Day with his new team.
