Pasco High football standout Janarion Grant, whose career has been filled with highlight-reel touchdowns, has verbally committed to Rutgers, Pirates coach Tom McHugh confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

Grant, the 5-foot-10, 165-pound, back-to-back long jump state champion, had an official visit to Rutgers this past weekend and decided to commit a week before National Signing Day, which is Feb. 6.
