Florida Football Recruiting: Meet Gators' 2013 Recruiting Class

1 of 30

Will Muschamp and his staff have put together a stellar 2013 recruiting class, and it's easily one of the best in the nation.

The Florida Gators have the potential to be a dominant team in the next few seasons, and many players from this class are going to be a huge part in that.

Florida was able to land a few elite recruits, but every recruit in this class has tremendous potential.

Let's meet the recruits that make up Florida's 2013 recruiting class.

He's also ranked as the No. 2 overall running back in the 2013 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He'll back up Matt Jones as a freshman, and he should get a ton of reps.

Vernon Hargreaves III

He's the No. 1 cornerback recruit in the 2013 class (247Sports Composite). Hargreaves will challenge Loucheiz Purifoy and Jaylen Watkins for the corner spot across from Marcus Roberson. I believe he will win that starting job.

Alex Anzalone

6 of 30

Alex Anzalone represents a huge recruiting win for Florida. He was a Notre Dame commitment, but Florida was able to get him to flip, and he's going to be very good for the Gators. He has good size and is ranked as the No. 4 outside linebacker in the 2013 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Daniel McMillian

McMillian has great size at 6'2'', 220 pounds, and he's the No. 5 ranked outside linebacker in the 2013 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Matt Rolin

8 of 30

    Other Finalists: South Carolina

    Commit Date: 12/9/12, Enrolled: 1/7/13

    Analysis:

The depth and talent at linebacker in this class is phenomenal, and Rolin is another big-time recruit for the Gators. He's a big player at 6'4'', 210 pounds, and he'll set himself apart with his speed. He runs a 4.60 40, according to 247Sports. Look for Rolin to take a redshirt in year one because of an injury.

Demarcus Robinson

9 of 30
    Height: 6'1.5''

    Weight: 196 lbs.

    Position: WR

    Stars: 4-star

    Analysis:

Demarcus Robinson had a hard time making up his mind in regards to where he wanted to officially attend school, but in the end he picked and stuck with the Gators. He'll go down as a big recruiting win for Florida. Robinson has good size, he runs a 4.65 40 (247Sports) and he should be able to get onto the field as a freshman as either a starter or a valuable backup since he enrolled early.

Darious Cummings

10 of 30
    Height: 6'2''

    Weight: 301 lbs.

    Position: DT

    Stars: 4-star

    Senior Stats: N/A

    Other Finalists: Ole Miss

    Commit Date: 11/18/12, Enrolled: 1/7/13

    Analysis:

Darious Cummings is a big JUCO defensive tackle pickup for the Gators. He has tremendous size at 6'2'', 301 pounds, and he should be able to work his way into the rotation at either tackle spot in his first season. The fact that he enrolled early should help him learn the system and scheme, and I expect he'll be an important backup behind Dominique Easley and Leon Orr.

Joey Ivie

11 of 30
    Height: 6'4''

    Weight: 265 lbs.

    Position: SDE

    Other Finalists: Georgia, Clemson, Auburn

    Commit Date: 6/16/12, Enrolled: 1/9/13

    Analysis:

Joey Ivie is a very big recruit, and he'll be a very interesting option at defensive end moving forward. His size will allow him to play strong against the run, and he should be a good backup in his first few seasons. Eventually look for Ivie to compete for major playing time.

Brown is ranked as the No. 2 JUCO offensive tackle, according to the 247Sports Composite. He'll be a big addition in the spring for Florida.

Marcell Harris will be in the running for the starting safety spot right away for the Gators. With Matt Elam and Josh Evans moving on, both starting positions will be open. Harris has great size at 6'1'', 209 pounds, and he should be able to challenge to start right away. He's the No. 10 ranked safety in the 2013 class (247Sports Composite).

    Analysis:

Sherit is a player to keep an eye on in the next few years. At 6'4'', 240 pounds, he has good size for a weak-side defensive end, and he's very quick. He runs a 4.70 40, according to 247Sports. He should be able to see the field as a very good special teams player right away, but in time he could challenge for time at defensive end.

Alvin Bailey

    Analysis:

Nick Washington is going to add some great depth to the safety position for Florida—and that's much-needed depth, may I add. He has great speed (4.40 40, according to 247Sports), and he should be an important special teams player right away for the Gators. In time, he'll be a big sub in the Gators secondary.

Antonio Riles

20 of 30

    Analysis:

Roderick Johnson has elite size for a guard at 6'5'', 315 pounds, and he'll eventually be able to compete for a starting spot with the Gators. Right now, Max Garcia and Jon Halipio should be the starters, but look for Johnson to compete for Halipio's spot once he moves on.

Adam Lane

22 of 30
    Height: 5'8''

    Weight: 215 lbs.

    Position: RB

    Analysis:

Adam Lane is a big, compact running back at 5'8'', 215 pounds. He's the No. 22 running back recruit in the 2013 class, according to the 247Sports Composite, so he has a very bright future. In time, he could develop into a very productive short-yardage back, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him utilized in goal-line situations. He could also be used as a good lead blocker. Lane brings a lot of options to the table for Florida.

Cameron Dillard

23 of 30

Cameron Dillard is ranked as a guard, but he can also play center. His versatility makes him a very important recruit for the Gators, and in time he could play a huge role on Florida's offensive line. He'll be a very valuable backup as a freshman if he doesn't take a redshirt season. With John Harrison and Kyle Koehne in front of him on the depth chart, though, a redshirt year could be a smart option.

Jarrad Davis

24 of 30
    Height: 6'2''

    Weight: 210 lbs.

He has great size at 6'5'', 238 pounds, and he has potential to compete for the starting gig once Jeff Driskel moves on. With Tyler Murphy and Skyler Mornhinweg in place as the most likely backups, Staver may want to consider a redshirt. At the very least, Florida has great depth at quarterback.
