The Super Bowl is just around the corner, meaning more and more bettors are putting their money down at the Vegas and offshore sportsbooks.

If you are trying to join the frenzy and pick a winner for the Baltimore Ravens versus San Francisco 49ers showdown, we’re here to help.

Let’s take a look at the most current lines (courtesy of ScoresandOdds.com) and provide some insight on which way to lean when making a wager.

Point Spread: Ravens (+3.5) over 49ers

After watching Ray Lewis and Joe Flacco lead Baltimore to back-to-back victories as nine-point underdogs, we have no doubt that they will continue that string of upsets on Sunday.

As with many of the more recent Super Bowl winners, the Ravens have found the right recipe for success and began heating up at the perfect time. This team is firing on all cylinders, and it simply isn’t going to lose, making the moneyline (plus-140) worthy of serious consideration for a large bet.

While Colin Kaepernick and the Niners are far from an easy opponent, the Ravens have seen the AFC’s best and will not falter come Feb. 3.

Over/Under: Under 47.5

We’re advising the under here, as history happens to be on that side.

Back on Thanksgiving Day 2011, John and Jim Harbaugh—the two head coaches involved in this matchup, if you have been living under a rock—met for the first time in the NFL.

John’s Ravens prevailed, 16-6, on the back of a strong defensive performance. The rosters for this upcoming matchup are largely the same, and the superstars are all still here.

We expect there is going to be a few more scoring drives with the Lombardi Trophy on the line, but it’s going to stay under the set total of 47.5. Our predicted final score is Ravens 24, San Francisco 21.
