USC Upsets UCLA in Overtime, 75-71
USC 75, UCLA 71
The crosstown showdown between USC (9-13, 4-5) and UCLA (16-6, 6-3) went down to the wire and even reached overtime on Wednesday night.
After USC took charge of the game in the first half, the Bruins came storming back in the second half and sent the game into overtime.
In the extra period, it was Trojans senior Eric Wise who made the crucial play.
Wise missed a shot but ventured into the paint to snag an offensive rebound with less than a minute left in the game.
After Wise pulled down the rebound, Ari Stewart made his first two free throws of the season to clinch the USC victory on the road at Pauley Pavilion.
The Trojans have a week off before hosting Washington State at the Galen Center next Thursday while the Bruins also have a week off before hosting Washington at Pauley Pavilion next Thursday.
