Just got back from the drive home from Tampa and my cohort Dieter Kurtenbach went to practice and will be filing his report soon.

He told me that Marcel Goc (ankle) is ready to make his season debut Thursday night against the Jets. No doubt Goc has been sorely missed in several departments. He is an excellent penalty killer and the Panthers have been killed on power plays of late. Goc is also one of the Panthers best guys on maintaining puck possession, another deficient area during the five-game losing streak. He was skating with Tomas Fleischmann today. I imagine Kirs Versteeg will flank him as well on Thursday night in a must-win game against the Jets.
