The Miami Heat (28-13) have won 12 straight games against the Brooklyn Nets (27-18), which is important to consider when making your pro basketball picks on Wednesday night, as the two Eastern Conference rivals meet at the Barclays Center on ESPN.

Sports bettors will find that the Heat are two-point road favorites in the NBA odds (courtesy of SBR Forum), while the total has risen to as high as 190 in the market.

Let's take a closer look at this high-profile affair from a betting perspective, while offering up a prediction on the total along the way.

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have won four of their last five games, but will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 100-98 double-overtime loss to the Boston Celtics as 5.5-point road favorites last time out.

Sports bettors will find that the Heat are 0-4 against the spread when laying three points or less away from Miami, while the under is 4-0 in that situation.

The Brooklyn Nets have compiled an impressive 17-7 overall record in their first year at the Barclays Center, which includes a 13-3 mark versus Eastern Conference opponents.

Sports bettors will find that the Nets are 2-0 against the spread as home underdogs of three points or less, with the under cashing in both of those opportunities.

Prediction

I'm going to recommend that readers play the under as one of their NBA basketball picks on Wednesday night, as these two teams have already fallen short of the number in two meetings during the 2012-13 campaign.
