As crazy as it sounds, some people don't actually watch the Super Bowl for the game. Instead, they tune in for the amazing, hilarious and sometimes heartwarming Super Bowl ads.

2013 should be no different, with each sponsor showing up with the best that the advertising world has to offer on the biggest TV day of the year.

We all know the big hitters. Anheuser-Busch, Pepsi and Frito-Lay are sure to bring the heat, as they do every year.

But the big boys have had their grips slipping over the years, and this could be the year that an underdog sneaks in and takes away the best commercial award.

Expect big things from these sponsors this Super Bowl.

E*Trade unveiled its line of talking baby ads in 2008, and the United States was instantly hooked.

Since then, the online investment company has pulled out all the stops on Super Bowl Sunday, including this solid ad from last year:

These ads carry a comedic punch but also boast the perfect mix of charm and wit.

Marking the fifth-year anniversary of its talking baby campaign, it'll be interesting to see what kind of ad E*Trade can pull out this year.

Volkswagen has never been known as having the best Super Bowl commercial of the year, but that all changed two years ago when the German car company pulled out this gem:

That commercial had everything. It was funny, it was heartwarming, it satisfied our inner nerd and, most of all, it was a throwback to one of the greatest film franchises of all time.

With an underwhelming ad in 2012, it'll be great to see what Volkswagen has to get back to the top in 2013.

M&M is one of the most beloved candies across America. It only makes sense that Super Bowl Sunday is a huge day for the company.

But when compared to the other big Super Bowl sponsors, the candy has always been a bit of a disappointment. The ads are clever, but they don't always get you in the funny bone.

Until last year, when they knocked the ball out of the park with this great ad:

Now, M&M is making its way to the top, and you can be sure that they know it. It'll be great to see what kind of follow-up ad they have to unveil in 2013.

Old Spice

Did you know that Old Spice actually existed before 2010? It's true.

The deodorant has been around since the 1930s but began to fade into the unknown in the early 2000s.

In order to try to revive its image, Old Spice introduced us to one of the greatest commercials of all time.

Here's the original that started it all on that fateful Sunday in 2010:

Since then, the Old Spice commercials have featured Terry Crews, Ray Lewis and, most recently, Greg Jennings.

With some of the coolest, funniest and most epic commercials of all time, you can be sure that Old Spice will pull out all the stops this year.
