The spoilers are in, and this may be one of my early favorites as far as Super Bowl commercials are concerned.
Consider this a guilty pleasure as far as commercials go. There is nothing heavily nuanced nor artistic, just some simple slapstick hilarity.
While we sift through the incessant Super Bowl commercials that continue to leak onto the Internet, we get to label them carefully into the good or wholly forgettable pile.
This is one of the good ones.
The only real downside to all of this is we now know what goes down at the end of the commercial. This is one ad that would have been greatly received a decade ago when Super Bowl ads were still surprises on the big day.
The shock may be gone, but the laughter remains.
As for this commercial, the Wheat Thins fanatic is hoping to catch himself a snack thief, one that might even be a Bigfoot or Ted from next door.
In the end, he was only partially right as a giant Yeti is there to steal his Spicy Buffalo Wheat Thins, ultimately taken by the greatest thief of them all, Ted from next door.
'Tis the season for wonderfully wacky commercials, and I couldn't be happier about it.
