Charles Barkley Attempts Weather Report, Still Trying to Find Scottsdale

Gabe ZaldivarPop Culture Lead WriterNovember 5, 2016

Charles Barkley stopped by the Phoenix ABC affiliate KNXV recently. In fact, he pretty much stormed the stage, making the weather report far more rewarding than it needed to be.

Sir Charles calls Scottsdale, AZ, home most of the time, and took KNXV's broadcast by storm on Sunday, talking about the Suns, Manti Te'o and Tiger, and even discussed President Obama and his views on gun control in addition to his weather report segment.

I love me some Charles Barkley, but he makes for a horrible weatherman.

A tip of the hat to Deadspin for spotting this video, which features the NBA legend giving weather reporting a shot, and pretty much failing.

It all begins with Barkley trying to find Scottsdale, something that is never actually accomplished. He then rambles on about the recent weather and even finds time to discuss his plants.

It's almost a conversation you would have with a complete stranger standing in line at the grocery store. In this case, I love it.

Sure, it's wacky, awkward and complete nonsense, but it's far better than any other weather report.

Athletes have been popping up more and more on local weather reports. Who could forget Rangers pitcher Derek Holland resorting to his Harry Caray impersonation on this Dallas-area broadcast.

Here's Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban's honorable attempt at the weather report during the NHL lockout from a few months ago on CTV.
