CONCORD, N.C. — Bruton Smith owns eight Sprint Cup tracks, and he likes the direction NASCAR is headed in some areas, but he’s upset over its inaction in one particular aspect of the sport.

Smith made his crusade against start-and-park teams his main topic of conversation when talking about the sport on the Sprint Media Tour this week.
