HARTFORD— Shabazz Napier, shrugging off his shoulder injury, had 19 points, six assists and five rebounds to lead UConn to a 66-54 victory over Rutgers in Big East men’s basketball at the XL Center on Sunday afternoon.

The win broke a two-game losing streak for the Huskies (13-5, 3-3 in the Big East), but it was not easy. The Huskies led by seven at the half, but started the second half missing their first eight shots and they fell behind.
