WWE Royal Rumble 2013 Live Results, Reaction and Analysis
Welcome, everyone, to the Bleacher Report live coverage of WWE's annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
This year's show emanates from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ.
We have a total of five matches set to take place, but with WWE you never know if they will add something on the fly, should they find themselves ahead of schedule.
The pre-show will feature Antonio Cesaro defending his US title against Miz. These two have been going back and forth for weeks, and this time we will finally see them go head to head.
Team Hell No will be defending their Tag titles against Rhodes Scholars in a match that could easily go either way.
Alberto Del Rio is defending his World title against former champion Big Show in a Last Man Standing match that is sure to be as brutal as their first LMS match on SmackDown.
Arguably, the most anticipated bout will be CM Punk defending his WWE title against The Rock in a match that has a stipulation of CM Punk losing the title if The Shield interfere.
The main attraction to this event, though, will be the 30-man over-the-top rope battle royal which sees the winner get a title shot of his choosing at WrestleMania.
WWE has been building to this event for weeks and Sunday night will be the payoff.
Who will go home the Rumble winner?
Will The Rock keep his promise and become WWE champion or will CM Punk extend his already epic title reign?
Can The Shield resist getting involved?
Make sure to bookmark this page and come back Sunday night at 7:30 PM Eastern for the start or the pre-show for all you Royal Rumble coverage needs.

Interesting note, right after the PPV ended there was a TNA commercial.
This was one of the most predictable events in the history of the Royal Rumble. I enjoyed the show for the most part, but I feel like WWE really dropped the ball on surprising everyone.
The Rock winning and Cena winning the Rumble were visible from three months ago and now we will get Rock vs. Cena for the title at WrestleMania. Rock drops the belt and Cena gets redemption.
CM Punk vs. The Rock-WWE Championship Match Part 4
Punk hits the high knee and clothesline and then he goes to the top rope for the Macho Man elbow. He covers Rock for a two count.
Punk calls for the GTS. He picks Rock up, but Rock escapes and hits a spinebuster. He hits the People's Elbow this time and gets the pin and the win.
Winner and New WWE Champion: The Rock
The crowd goes nuts as The Rock celebrates in the ring with the WWE title.
McMahon says it doesn't matter if he couldn't see them attacking Rock, he knows it was the Shield.
As he is about to strip Punk of the title, Rock gets a mic and says he wants the match to restart instead.
McMahon says to make it happen. Punk pounces on Rock right away.
Punk celebrates with the title as Rock is still down outside the ring. Vince McMahon's music hits and he makes his way to the ring.
I knew it wouldn't end that way.
CM Punk vs. The Rock-WWE Championship Match Part 3
Punk turns a Rock Bottom into a crucifix pin. Rock rolls through and locks in the Sharpshooter. Punk makes it to the bottom rope to break the hold.
Punk rolls to the outside and Rock goes after him. He hits Punk with a clothesline and then goes back to the Spanish announce table.
Rock sets Punk up on the table and Punk kicks him in the face. Both men are on the table now and Punk is calling for the GTS.
As Rock gets up the table gives way and both men go crashing down. That did not look planned to go that way at all.
Both men are down as the ref starts counting them out. Both men get back in the ring and Punk hits a huge kick out of desperation to the head and both men go down.
The ref begins a 10 count as they lay in the ring. They both make it up and they start trading shots. Rock gets the better of the exchange and hits the spinebuster.
He lines up and goes to hit the People's elbow. The lights go out and we hear someone attacking The Rock. Cole says it is The Shield as they triple powerbomb him through the table.
The lights come on and they are gone. Cole says it was The Shield and Punk looks like he got away with something as Rock lays helpless in the broken table.
Punk goes out and picks The Rock up to put him back in the ring. Punk gets the pin and wins the match after rolling Rocky back in the ring.
Winner and still WWE Champion: CM Punk
This is interesting.
CM Punk vs. The Rock-WWE Championship Match Part 2
Punk keeps up the offense on Rocky with a body scissors. Rock breaks out with elbows, but Punk is able to lock him in a modified triangle submission.
Rock fights out and hits Punk with a few shots, but Punk hits a heel kick to put him right back on the mat. Punk drops Rock's gut over the top rope to take advantage of his injuries at the hands of the Shield again.
While the ref moves Punk back, Heyman takes a cheap shot at Rock's ribs. Punk hits a springboard dropkick and Cole calls attention to Punk landing funny.
Punk goes up top and hits a flying clothesline to Rock and holds his knee for a second like it got tweaked. The Rock takes a few kicks to the knee of Rock and he gets Punk down.
Punk ends up throwing Rock to the outside to get some breathing room. Punk barely hits a suicide dive to Rocky and then gets up and smiles.
Punk misses a springboard clothesline and Rock takes advantage by attacking the knee again. Rock hits a side Russian legsweep and gets a two count.
Rock lines up for the Rock Bottom, but Punk breaks out with elbows. Punk puts Rock up for the GTS, but Rock catches him and goes for the sharpshooter.
Punk rolls him through and ends up putting the Anaconda Vice on Rock. Rock rolls him over for a two count to break the hold.
Both men are slow to get up at this point.
CM Punk vs. The Rock-WWE Championship Match Part 1
Punk is out first with Paul Heyman holding the WWE title behind him. The Rock makes his way out next to a big ovation.
Justin Roberts gives the official introductions and Punk goes right up to Rock and holds the title up in his face.
The bell rings and the two starts trading shots right away. Punk corners Rock and starts pounding on him.
Rock explodes out of the corner with a clothesline. He goes for the Rock Bottom early, but Punk avoids it and gets clotheslined to the outside instead.
Rock slams Punk's head on the Spanish announce table. Punk kicks Rock in the leg and then he puts the lid back on the Spanish announce table before going back in the ring.
I like how Punk showed respect to the Spanish announce table. Rock comes back out and Punk ends up being whipped into the barricade.
Heyman hits Rock when the ref isn't looking and Punk is able to hit a blow to the back of Rock's head. Rock drops Rock's ribs over the barricade.
The Rock delivers a promo backstage. Rock calls attention to his mother at ringside.
We get some hype videos for the main event between CM Punk and The Rock.
Cena poses next to a kid wearing a We Hate Cena shirt and says "We are going to WrestleMania" as the kid shakes his head.
The Rumble match is always fun, but after all the hype I expected more surprise entrants.
Cena winning was almost too predictable this year. This almost certainly spells the end for CM Punk's title reign so Cena can face Rock at Mania for the title.
The two powerhouses have a staredown and then Cena starts laying into Ryback. Ryback tries for the Meat Hook, but Cena ends up locking the STF on him.
Cena makes him pass out and then he lifts him up and places him on the top rope. Ryback fights back and jumps off onto Cena.
John Cena eliminates Ryback and wins his second Royal Rumble.
Cena winning makes me 3 for 4 on my predictions tonight.
I had this nightmare last night.
We are down to Cena, Sheamus and Ryback. They all stare at each other. Cena and Sheamus double team Ryback.
Ryback hits Cena with the Meat Hook, but gets hit with White Noise by Sheamus right after.
Ryback eliminates Sheamus and we are down to Cena and Ryback.
Sheamus eliminates Ziggler, who had a great showing in this match.
Orton hits RKOs on everyone in the ring. He hits the rope-hung DDT on Ryback.

Ryback grabs Miz and throws him over the top to eliminate him.
The final man in the Rumble is Ryback.
I guess we didn't get as many surprise returns as we thought we would tonight.
Bo Dallas eliminates Wade Barrett.
Wade Barrett comes back down and pulls Bo Dallas over the top rope to eliminate him and then he hits the Bull Hammer to knock him out.
The 29th man in the match is Sin Cara, who gets almost no reaction for his return.
John Cena eliminates Antonio Cesaro.
The 28th man in the Rumble is The Miz, who gets into a fight with Cesaro in the aisle.
Orton hits the rope-hung DDT to Dallas and Ziggler at the same time. He hits the RKO on Ryder.

Bryan gets thrown off and Kane catches him. Bryan begs to be put back in the ring and Kane lets him drop, eliminating Bryan from the Rumble.
