Austin Burgett met this week with Mike Brey and Scott Martin. The last theme the Notre Dame freshman expected the meeting to cover was replacing Martin, but here Burgett was, discussing how he might help account for the loss of a mentor.

"I didn't even know Scott was down," Burgett said. "At first I was shocked. I've always looked up to Scott. It's kind of disappointing he went down. But at the same time, I have to step up to the challenge."
