The Wild have adopted a shoot-first mentality so far this season, and outshot each of their first three opponents for the first time in franchise history.

This is a welcome departure from Minnesota's style the past few seasons.

"That's true," defenseman Clayton Stoner said after the team's morning skate Friday, Jan. 25. "The last probably three years, you look up at the shot clock and it always feels like we're getting outshot. We were still winning games but a lot of times getting outshot. Now, we have more shooters, we have more offensive zone time."
