The fourth set also went to a tiebreak but things were a bit more dramatic. Nadal took a 5-2 lead but he double faulted and eventually squandered two match points giving Federer the set with a 10-8 score in the tiebreak.

In the fifth and final set the players were interpreted by another rain delay with the score tied at 2-2.  Eventually Nadal triumphed taking the set 9-7.

The win gave Nadal his 6th title of the year, 29th overall, 1st Wimbledon, and 5th Grand Slam win. He won a month earlier at the French Open having defeated Federer easily in three straight sets.

Nadal's combined wins at the French and Wimbledon were mildly historic because the last man to complete such a feat was Bjorn Borg in 1980. Rather impressive considering the little amount of time between both events.

John McEnroe claimed, "it was the greatest match I have ever seen." Agreed.

MLB

While there is nothing of special significance in June for baseball, it simply means that the MLB season is in full swing and that makes many of us happy campers.

Summer (June 21)

June 21 is the first day of summer. School is out. The weather is nice. Everyone loves summer and thus June just can't be beat—when it comes to sports or life.
