Tim Duncan has made an All-Star career on being not only a fundamentally sound basketball player, but also being one of the most consistent superstars in the league. He is the foundation of the San Antonio Spurs, a player on whom his coach Gregg Popovich can always rely.

Unfortunately, not all teams can rely on their superstars in the same way.

Star players can be flawed, and on occasion those flaws can prove to be a bane for their respective teams. Players in the elite level need to make sure they are consistent on a nightly basis, otherwise their coach and team can sour on them.

NBA analyst JR Jackson and Assistant NBA Editor Joel C. Cordes break down the NBA's most inconsistent superstars currently playing.
