Watch JaVale McGee Throw It off the Backboard for Insane Dunk
JaVale McGee never ceases to amaze us.
With less than a minute remaining in the third quarter of a game between the Denver Nuggets and the Houston Rockets, Andre Miller was forced to pick up his dribble. As a result, he found McGee with a feed at the high post.
McGee proceeded to assist himself by going off the glass for a one-man, one-hand alley-oop.
As only McGee can do, he proceeded to use his finger to make a fake mustache in celebration. Either that, or he was smelling his finger.
A tattooed mustache explains why.

Either way, that hand made basketball gold on that play.
As one could only expect, the Twittersphere absolutely erupted. Some labeled it the dunk of the night while others said it in a more understandable way.
Benjamin Hochman of The Denver Post is one of those guys.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

Hochman would redeem himself by offering up a more in-depth description of the play.
Although, we must admit that, here at B/R, we still favor his previous approach.

What a finish.
Fran Blinebury of NBA.com took a different approach to his evaluation of the play. Instead of shock and awe, Blinebury had a proposal for the NBA.
Scrap the dunk contest and just show this dunk over and over again.
Save us the trouble -- and boredom -- of All-Star dunk contest. Javale McGee dunk of year in Houston, off backboard to self, 1 hand slam.

Hard to argue.
Regardless of which stance you take, there is one thing we cannot deny. In fact, there is one common trend from every game McGee takes part in.
There will be a phenomenal display of athleticism.
