Worst Contracts in MLB Today

Zachary D. Rymer@zachrymerMLB Lead WriterJanuary 24, 2013

Being a Major League Baseball player is a great way to make a living. There’s a lot of money to be had, and the contracts are all guaranteed.

This, however, is also one of the more problematic aspects of Major League Baseball. Big guaranteed contracts can too easily be albatross contracts, much to the chagrin of the teams that have to keep signing the checks.

You don’t need to search far and wide to pinpoint the biggest albatross contracts in MLB today. They’re all over the place, from New York to Boston to our nation’s capital.

You don’t need to search, of course, because myself and B/R Pop Culture Lead Writer Gabe Zaldivar went ahead and did it for you. We got together to share our thoughts on the worst contracts in baseball today, and our ramblings happened to be caught on video.

Leave your thoughts below if you have any, and you’re also welcome to follow Gabe and me on Twitter.
