Ranking Soccer's Strongest Players
Strength is a trait perhaps more commonly associated with the American version of football, with its bone-crushing hits and superhuman-sized players.
But the world’s game also has its share of strong players. Some of them also happen to rank among football’s best as well.
Last spring, Ivorian forward Didier Drogba led Chelsea to the Champions League title with his goalscoring and leadership abilities. But he also got the job done with his famed strength.
Drogba left Chelsea in May, but the Premier League still has its share of strong players, from Manchester City’s Yaya Toure to Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic to Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale.
And what about Cristiano Ronaldo? The Portuguese superstar is widely celebrated for his outrageous skills, but the 27-year-old has also managed to add strength to his game in recent years.
