On a sunny Sunday afternoon last November in the Arizona desert, Clint Bowyer parked his mangled race car on the pit lane at Phoenix International Raceway. He'd been intentionally wrecked by Jeff Gordon, and was already fuming when he looked up at the JumboTron and saw his team scuffling with Gordon's in the garage. Instinctively he took off. Dead sprint to the scene. Target: Gordon. He was livid.
