The Mavericks have been hit-and-miss on their draft picks for years. Mostly miss. For every Josh Howard, there have been too many guys like Nick Fazekas and Shan Foster. It’s gotten to the point where a fringe contributor like Roddy Beaubois gets everybody hot and bothered. And now, along comes Jae Crowder. Taken in the second round with the 34th overall pick in last summer’s draft, the Marquette product has been a surprisingly nice addition.
