Arbitration Closes Walls on Reds' Cap Room

It’s a question I get every year. What are the Reds going to do with the money that comes off the books when so-and-so leaves?
This year, it would be Scott Rolen. Last year, it was Francisco Cordero.
While losing Rolen’s $6.5 million salary this year and Cordero’s $12 million salary last year would seem to open up things for free agent signing and the like, that’s not the case.
