University of Arizona men's basketball player Mark Lyons was named Pac-12 Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 14-20, the conference office announced today. The senior guard led the Wildcats to a win over intrastate rival Arizona State last week.

A 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Schenectady, N.Y., Lyons helped Arizona to a win in its only game last week by totaling 24 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals in the contest, while shooting 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from the field and 100.0 percent (6-of-6) from the line.
