Saturday’s loss to Syracuse “devastated” University of Louisville coach Rick Pitino. The Cardinals players? Not so much.

Pitino said the No. 5 Cards (16-2, 4-1 Big East) handled the 70-68 defeat that knocked them from their perch atop the polls like professionals. So much so that he doesn’t expect any lingering effects when they travel to face Villanova Tuesday at 8 p.m.
