The Oklahoma City Thunder lost a close one to the Denver Nuggets Sunday night, dropping a 121-118 overtime decision after trailing by as many as 11 points with just over three minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

The real story of the game came in the final four minutes of regulation, as Denver fans turned on Russell Westbrook for a bit of foul play late in the fourth not at all involved with the actual game on the court:

Oh, but you see, this wasn't any half-court shot. The 19,000-plus in attendance had something riding on this one.

With that, Westbrook made enemies with the entire city of Denver for the rest of his career.

Westbrook and the Thunder went on a 10-2 run to pull within three with 43 seconds left. Then he went and stuck another dagger into the heart of Nuggets fans and the Pepsi Center crowd.

Cue overtime. Denver and Oklahoma City go back and forth, but the Nuggets claim a three-point lead late in the period.

Kevin Durant missed a three-pointer and Westbrook ended up with a shot to beat the buzzer, but it was deflected by Corey Brewer.

That, my friends, is some serious queso karma.
