Ravens' Terrell Suggs Rips Patriots Following AFC Championship Win

Shortly after the Baltimore Ravens knocked off the New England Patriots to advance to Super Bowl XLVII, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs had a few choice words for Bill Belichick and the rest of the Pats.

The quotes comes via Yahoo! Sports' Dan Wetzel:

He continued:

Then, Suggs wished New England a nice, fun vacation:

Before all the Patriots fans out there go blowing a gasket, the talented linebacker did change his tune for a second:

Still, you can bet these statements will add to the fuel of what is arguably the best rivalry in football.

In early 2010, the Ravens easily beat the Pats in the Wild Card Round after knocking them off in October, as well. The next year, New England came back and earned a 23-20 overtime win during the regular season.

The Pats continued that success with the AFC championship last year, but Baltimore has retaken their number with two more wins against New England this season.

That's four seasons and six matchups: four wins for the Ravens and two for the Patriots.

Every single game has been physical. They've been battles. They've been the type of games you expect to be played between two teams that hate each other—and with these recent comments by Suggs, it's clear that sentiment is true.

We heard how this year's Ravens squad used last year's loss to the Patriots as motivation, and it obviously worked.

With these teams meeting up next season, don't be surprised if the Pats use this as their own motivation and come back strong again in 2013.

As for the Ravens, they have bigger things to worry about right now.
