Lessons We Learned from the AFC Championship Game
The Baltimore Ravens are heading back to the Super Bowl, and despite all the media attention around Ray Lewis' pending retirement, the real story is the ascension of starting quarterback Joe Flacco into the ranks of the elite NFL quarterbacks.
Once again, Flacco came into Foxborough and outplayed Tom Brady. And this time, the rest of the team held up its end of the bargain, propelling itself into Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans in two weeks' time.
For the New England Patriots, a bit of soul-searching and a summer of "what if?" are in store. They are still unquestionably one of the better teams in the league, but losing at home in the AFC Championship Game is going to take some time to get over.
