Wrestling Repeats: Same Character Different Names

(Although I know you're only staring at the pic, but here's the explanation anyway)
The more things change in the wacky world of professional wrestling, the more they stay the same.
Over the years we've seen hundreds of different guys come through the curtain, all think they have a brand new wrestling style, charisma and personality.
But the truth be told, there aren't really any new wrestlers or gimmicks—only new names.
Here are current superstars who are truly proof that wrestling history does repeat itself.
Morrison as HBK
John can be seen doing his best Shawn Michaels impersonation on every show on the WWE. He's one superkick away on the Miz from becoming a breakout star.
The only thing that differs between Morrison and HBK are his 30-pack abs. Don't act like you didn't notice also. Be jealous.
John Cena as Hulk Hogan
From the thousands of kids wearing his t-shirts, to the biggest arms in the biz today, right on down to the equally bad movies—John Cena is following Hogan's lead every step of the way.
Let's just hope he keeps all of his hair and recognizes when to call it quits.
Jack Swagger as Brock Angle
It's too early to decide which superstar Swagger is trying to follow, Kurt Angle or Brock Lesnar, so I merged the two.
Swagger has the wrestling background, style, quick world-title appeal, and "swagger" of both men. The only thing undetermined is which path will he take.
Will he run out on the WWE for other fame or become one of the best ever?
Brian Kendrick as Brian Pillman
Now many people would immediately think to his trainer HBK as Kendrick's comparison, but I disagree.
Yeah, he's got the Diesel-like bodyguard but the attitude leans toward Pillman. Kendrick is a high flyer and comes off a little bit out there.
Not unlike the deranged Pillman.
Big Show as Andre the Giant
Over seven feet tall and more than 450 lbs., you can plainly see why the Big Show is compared to Andre the Giant. Now if only the Show could match Andre's superstar appeal.
Great Khali as Giant Gonzalez
Both men have faced the Undertaker as the next big big man. Both men have failed miserably to show an ounce of talent.
I, for one, am not missing the giant airbrushed suite or the horrible editions of the kiss cam.
Vladimir Koslov as The Brahma Bull
No, no, no. It's not what you're thinking—Vladimir doesn't not remind me of the Rock.
I'm talking about an actual Brahma bull.
The man has zero personality, all he does is scrape his huge hoofs on the mat and charge in head first to his opponent and could easily be substituted for a sack of potatoes.
Kelly Kelly as Trish Stratus
These two blond bombshells have a lot in common. Both have been associated with the late Andrew "Test" Martin and they both seemed to blossom overnight.
If you remember, Trish was very green before she went on to become one of the best Divas ever. Kelly Kelly is very young, and every time you flip on the TV her skills have greatly improved.
Rey Mysterio as Little Beaver
Everyday seems like a battle against King Kong Bundy at WM III for Rey Mysterio, which is why I compare him to famed midget wrestler Little Beaver.
I kid, I kid. Rey's one of the greatest little men—I mean, cruiserweights—in the biz.
DH Smith as Davey Boy Smith
This one's a no-brainier. Like father like son.
Batista as Ultimate Warrior
Both run around shaking the ropes, snorting and overpowering their opponents.
Batista has a lot of Ultimate Warrior-like qualities in him. Fortunately for the fans he can handle a match that last longer than 90 seconds.
Hornswoggle as Dink
This one truly is the Mini-Me comparison.
Hornswoggle is the Dink to Fit Finley's Doink. You have to love the WWE.
