Keith Appling had the only six points Michigan State scored in the final two minutes tonight but they were enough to help the 18th-ranked Spartans hold off No.11 Ohio State 59-56 in the Breslin Center.

Appling made driving layups on back-to-back possessions after Deshaun Thomas, who scored 28 points, had tied the game at 53 with 57.9 seconds left. The baskets gave the Spartans a 57-53 lead with 16.9 seconds left...
