Mascherano

Because of his participation in international play with Argentina, the FA has added 24 hours to Javier Mascherano's deadline to respond to the charges against him.

The Argentine midfielder was participating in his country's 2 to nil win over African champs, Egypt, in Cairo.

Mascherano will now have until 6pm on Friday to admit guilit, plea innocent, or ask for a hearing. But the disciplinary hearing has been moved up one day, to April 3rd.

Just to recap, Mascherano has no idea why he was booked, no goals in the match vs. Egypt, and no chances of getting out of a longer suspension.  Just keeping you updated.
