Green Bay Packers rookie safety Sean Richardson underwent surgery for a cervical disc herniation this past week in Los Angeles.

Richardson, 22, was one of four undrafted rookies to make the Packers’ roster this season but was limited to only five games with four tackles until finally being placed on injured reserve with a back injury on Dec. 1.
