Novak Djokovic joins the star-studded cast of tennis' best on the 2013 Australian Open, and his support will continue to be longtime girlfriend, Jelena Ristic.
The Serbian star who is also the No. 1 player in the world, is cruising through the early goings in Melbourne.
He just took care of third-round opponent Radek Stepanek in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, 7-5. More than dominating the competition, Djokovic managed to get in some heated words on fallen sports star and admitted doper, Lance Armstrong (via SI.com).
Amid all the success on the court, the outlandish personality off of it and his opinions he has no problem in delivering, it's easy to lose sight of the beauty who continues to be by his side.
The 25-year-old from Belgrade, Serbia, has been dating Jelena Ristic since 2005, via Zimbio. In 2011, the two were able to take a photo shoot together, and the video of the event follows.
Per the report, the two have been in a relationship since 2005, but knew one another two years prior. There is a little more information from the website, Who and Whom:
She was always a sport type of girl, training athletics and tennis from early age. After Drinka Pavlovic grade school, she went to Sport High School where she first met Novak Djokovic. Her mother Vera Ristic said that it was love at first sight and that tennis was the reason why those two grew so quickly close together...
Novak said that she is his biggest support in life, his driving force and that she makes him calm and stable. She was with him when he was no one, just the kid that was once playing tennis in an empty swimming pool
The sight of Ristic in the stands at various tournaments is nearly as ubiquitous as the image of a vibrant Djokovic procuring another victory.
When you consider what a fashion website like Gracie Opulanza has to say about her, she is just as welcomed a sight as the Serbian superstar she's dating.
Djokovic can be erratic on the court but has been steadfast in his relationship with a woman who has seen him mature into tennis' best.
