Baltimore Police Department Release Awkward Ravens Hype Video

Being extremely giddy hardly has the coolest of consequences, as proven by the Baltimore Police Department completely geeking out over its beloved Ravens.

Before we continue, let's just say that we love the effort from the cops who work tirelessly to keep the city safe. Still, while this is a fantastic video to watch, it's not for the intended reason.

A tip of the hat to Deadspin for spotting this video of the Baltimore PD completely losing its mind over the upcoming game between the Patriots and Ravens.

I now have a hard time believing there will be anyone patrolling the streets Sunday starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The video starts off with an in-your-face cop rapping about how awesome the Ravens are in pretty much the coolest rap ever performed by an officer in a Ravens hype video featuring other cops.

So it's a good thing the list of those who have attempted such things is short.

The song "Seven Nation Army" continues to play in the background as if that is somehow going to magically sprinkle swagger over a video plunging into the abyss of awkward.

Hey, at the 1:42 mark, you can see one officer completely destroy another with a devastating tackle, so there's that.

At the end, we get a cameo from the man of the hour, Ray Lewis, who very well may be playing in his final game.

Again, valiant effort from Baltimore's finest, but perhaps send some cookies to the team next time instead.
