Manchester City vs. Fulham: Live Stream Info for EPL Match
Manchester City is six points behind rival Manchester United in the points standings, and this weekend's Premier League clash with Fulham is the perfect time to make up some ground towards the Red Devil's reign at the top.
Away from home, Fulham has been ghastly this season, winning matches in just two of 11 appearances away from Craven Cottage.
City will need to capitalize on that fact on Saturday when the Whites visit the Etihad Stadium, with EPL bragging rights on the line with Champions League right around the corner.
At 13th in the table, Fulham can't make up much ground towards the top with this match, but Manchester City has the most to lose if it should stumble against Fulham in its quest against Manchester United.
City has only played twice in 2013, including a 3-0 win over Stoke City and a 2-0 win over Arsenal. The Sky Blues are picking up steam—and Fulham will be the next squad to try and slow that progress down.
Here's a look at when and where you can catch all the action in this EPL clash, including television and live stream information for those away from a normal viewing experience.
When: Saturday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. ET
Where: Etihad Stadium
Live Stream: ESPN3
What to Watch For:
City will get back three of its leading athletes, as reported by Richard Jolly of ESPN. Sergio Aguero, the leading goal scorer from last season, will lead the return parade along with teammates Jack Rodwell and Samir Nasri.
Aguero has been out since tearing a hamstring on Jan. 1, while Rodwell returns from a three-month layoff do to hamstring issues. Nasri is returning from a three-game ban following his sending off against Norwich.
Those three will help bolster a lineup that did just fine without them in the win over Arsenal, but in the spirit of not taking anything for granted, we'll see how manager Roberto Mancini manages their time on the pitch.
Elsewhere, stars David Silva and Edin Dzeko will be expected to help carry the load again, against a Fulham squad that contains a slew of talent but hasn't been able to put everything together consistently enough. Now, rumors are also swirling that trouble is afoot on the team.
Manager Martin Jol has denied an earlier report that he and defender John Arne Riise were involved in a training ground altercation, as reported by ESPN.
Internal turmoil can destroy a team, and that's certainly an issue to watch for both how the team responds to Jol in the future and Riise's playing time.
City will look to take advantage of that discord in what promises to be a gauge for where both teams are during this lengthy EPL season.
