The transfer winds continue to blow at Old Trafford as Manchester United get ready for a weekend trip to face Tottenham Hotspur. There are less than two weeks left in the January window, but clubs are already starting to line up their summer moves.

It's an interesting time for the Red Devils. They are seven points clear in the Premier League, which would make it seem like additions are unnecessary. Since they are still alive in so many competitions, however, extra depth would come in handy.

Here's a look at some of the latest rumors involving United, including one that would see a rising star leave the Premier League leaders after the campaign.

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez

Although Robin van Persie continues to steal the headlines with his terrific play since joining the club from Arsenal, Hernandez is doing his fair share of damage as well. He's scored 12 goals in 23 appearances, including several clutch tallies.

Of course, other clubs are taking notice. Greg Stobart of reports that Atletico Madrid are interested in landing the striker as they face the potential loss of Radamel Falcao and Adrian Lopez; but a summer move seems more likely than a winter one.

The 24-year-old Mexican international could easily be making a fuss about wanting more playing time given his production, but he's remained a team player. While United should attempt to thwart interest, Chicharito would thrive in a more prominent role elsewhere.

Wilfried Zaha

The Zaha saga has taken on a life of its own since the winter window opened. The Crystal Palace striker has been linked to numerous Premier League clubs. They are all intrigued by his tremendous attacking potential, and rightfully so.

Despite the widespread interest, Manchester United are moving closer to an agreement with the Championship side, according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail. He also states Arsenal are trying to make a late push to land the rising star.

The Red Devils have been heavily involved throughout the process, so they should put the full-court press on to finish the deal before another team swoops in. It's only a matter of time before his value goes up yet again.

Kaka has fallen out of favor at Real Madrid. The 30-year-old midfielder, who's starred for Brazil at the international level, has made just seven La Liga appearances this season for an out-of-form Madrid side. It's led to plenty of speculation about his future.

Charles Perrin of the Daily Express reports that the Blancos are looking to clear his sizable contract before month's end. Manchester United and Chelsea are being viewed as potential landing spots for the playmaker, whose track record still makes him an intriguing option.

United would benefit from having a veteran presence like Kaka available down the stretch. Getting out of Madrid, where he never truly seemed to find his footing, would give him a chance to revitalize his career. His wages are a hurdle that must be jumped, though.
