A loss to Minnesota was understandable. A loss at Wisconsin was dismal. But Thursday's loss at home to Northwestern?
It could doom struggling Illinois, which will surely fall out of the top 25 polls with a 68-54 loss to the uninspiring Wildcats at Assembly Hall.
"The bottom line is we have to play better," coach John Groce said. "We have to coach better. Nobody can feel sorry for you..."
