Indians, Drew Stubbs Avoid Arbitration with One-Year Deal

ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick reports that the Indians and outfielder Drew Stubbs have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.825 million contract. The deal includes $50,000 in possible performance bonuses.
Stubbs was arbitration-eligible for the first time this offseason and remains under team control through 2015. The 28-year-old was acquired from the Reds in December after batting .213/.277/.333 with 14 home runs, 30 stolen bases and a .610 OPS in 136 games last season.
