Back in 2007, the Flyers drafted James Van Riemsdyk. He went second overall and it was the first time ever in the NHL that the first two picks of the draft were Americans.

James is a New Jersey native. His 6'3" 205 lbs. frame should fit nice here in Philly.

He has represented the United States in the JR world hockey championship. He also led the University of New Hampshire with 40 points, 17 goals in 36 games.

I look forward to seeing him light up in the upcoming years.
