Coyotes Assign Six Players to AHL

Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forwards Chris Brown, Andy Miele, Brendan Shinnimin and Jordan Szwarz as well as defensemen Brandon Gormley and Chris Summers to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Brown has recorded 12-9-21 and 61 penalty minutes (PIM) in 37 games with Portland this season. The 21-year-old native of Flower Mound, Texas was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (36th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
