New York Rangers defenseman Wade Redden has cleared waivers, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com Thursday.
The Rangers can now move forward on using an accelerated compliance buyout on Redden, which would then make the 35-year-old defenseman an unrestricted free agent.
