Only one player in NFL history is known to have returned to the field after tearing his ACL for a third time. Terrell Thomas plans to become the second. The 28-year-old cornerback, who partially tore his right ACL in August while attempting to comeback from the torn ACL he suffered in Aug., 2011, made his intentions official on Tuesday when he wrote on his blog that "I am returning to football in 2013." He added that his return will be "hopefully with the Giants, but my contract is up this year.
