Arsenal vs. Swansea: FA Cup 3rd Round Replay Live Score, Highlights, Recap
The Emirates Stadium—London, England.
Arsenal 1-0 Swansea
Arsenal overcame a resilient Swansea side in dramatic fashion as Jack Wilshere scored the only goal.
It was sheer domination from the Gunners from start to finish, and Chico and Kyle Bartley played their part in a heroic defensive display.
Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott missed a glut of chances, with the latter in particular having an awful game, and when Bacary Sagna hit the post, it seemed like this game was never going to fall for them.
But Wilshere's thumping effort from 20 yards finally beat Michel Vorm in the Swansea goal in the 86th minute, and the Gunners march into the fourth round.

ARSENAL 1-0 SWANSEA
91'—Arsenal seem happy to go for a second, which is strange. Giroud and Walcott both caught offside in the final minutes going for gold.
89'—Arsenal just need to play it safe now, and they're passing it around so Swansea can't get the ball.
More on the goal
The ball into Giroud outside the box is laid off for Wilshere, and first time from 20 yards, the young Englishman thunders in a left-footed effort.
GOAL FOR ARSENAL!
JACK WILSHERE SCORES!
85'—This is insane!
The corner comes in, Tiendalli clears it off the line. It comes back, Vorm blocks.
Heroic blocking from Swansea!
83'—More pressure, more pressure, more pressure.
Ramsey slides the ball out to Walcott on the right of the box and his near-post effort is blocked by Vorm.
Unbelievably poor finishing, Arsenal.— Thore Haugstad (@Haugstad1006) January 16, 2013
Diaby off, Ramsey on.
Sagna strikes the post!
Sagna swings a cross in and Walcott actually misses a free header. Vorm anticipates contact and is left stranded, but the ball strikes the inside of the post and bounces into the Dutchman's arms.
79'—Up the other end and Ki fizzes a grass-cutter in at goal from 25 yards. Szczesny pushes it wide, and the corner is nodded wide at the near post by Chico.
79'—How, just how is this 0-0?
Giroud the latest to miss a gilt-edged chance. They've got to start aiming their shots away from Vorm's hands...
76'—Still goalless and it's Arsenal doing all the asking.
This will end tonight folks, be it 90 minutes, 120 minutes or penalties. Swansea will be shattered if it goes the full hog.
73'—A clever switch of play sees Sagna slip Wilshere in on the edge of box, right side. His stinging effort bounces off the palms of Vorm and into safety.
I don't like being over-critical of our players, but that was awful from Theo.— Stephen Bradley (@bradley08) January 16, 2013
Michu ON, Graham on.
Michu gets booed.
70'—Walcott is released down the left, he steps inside Chico and tries to bend it Ashley Young style into the far corner.
It's a torrid effort and it's quite far wide.
69'—Giroud finds space on the edge of the penalty area, rolls his marker and fires into Vorm's arms from 20 yards.
This is, quite literally, ALL Arsenal.
68'—We have a Michu sighting on the Swansea bench...
66'—More attacking from Arsenal sees Walcott burst down the right, but his limp cross falls easily into the arms of Vorm.
64'—More scything passes from Arsenal open Swansea up but a last-ditch challenge stops Giroud from pulling the trigger from 18 yards.
62'—The danger continues for Swansea!
Wave after wave of Arsenal attacks rain down on Vorm's goal.
TWICE Swansea clear off the line!
61'—Wilshere runs at the heart of Swansea's defence and his shot trickles wide after a deflection.
The corner is genuinely awful—who is letting Walcott take set pieces?
Agustien off, Pablo Hernandez ON!
