Playing without star Chris Paul for the second straight game, the Los Angeles Clippers (30-9) beat the 21-18 Rockets, 117-109, in Houston on Tuesday night.
The Clippers entered halftime trailing 59-58, but a huge third quarter paved their way to victory. The Clippers outscored the Rockets 32-18 in the third, and they held on in the fourth for the win.
The difference in this game came down to success behind the arc, as Los Angeles shot 57.9 percent on 19 shots from distance, while the Rockets hit for 35.1 percent on 37 three-point attempts.

Player of the Game: Jamal Crawford
Crawford was outstanding as he scored a season-high 30 points. He was instrumental to the Clippers holding their lead in the fourth, as he netted 12 straight to start the final period.
This was the second of a three-game trip for the Clips. They will wrap up their travels with a Thursday game in Minnesota against the Timberwolves.
The Rockets will embark on a four-game road trip that starts against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.
