Evan Turner to Return for Junior Year, Will it Matter if BJ Mullens Does?

After Evan Turners terrific season at Ohio State this season, the young star has decided to let head coach Thad Matta with what little hair he has left. He said he loves college ball and will be returning for his junior season.
Turner led the Buckeyes in all major categories this season; such as scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals. He was favored to be the Big Ten’s MVP until Michigan Statestar Kalin Lucas won the award instead.
He was the biggest part of the Buckeye’s attack and for his junior season hopefully he gets some help by people stepping up that needed to this season.
The biggest reason they lost to Sienna is in the tournament is the lack of a dominant center. Dallas Lauderdale has done his job on the defensive end, but B.J Mullens wasn’t there when the Buckeyes needed him.
Will it matter to this Buckeye team if Mullens left for the NBA?
I highly doubt it would have a great affect, because Thad Matta always recruits great centers and in my opinion Mullens has been the only one who hasn’t played to potential.
It would be very unwise for Mullens to go to the NBA. He needs to learn more from Matta and help the Buckeyes make it back to the National Championship.
With Turner returning I look for this team to be very talented next season and a lot more consistent. With or without Mullens I expect great things for the Buckeyes in 2010.
