What Are the Arizona Cardinals' Needs in the 2013 NFL Draft?
Ask most fans and they'll probably tell you Arizona needs a QB. However, the last time the Cards took a quarterback in the first round was in 2006 with Matt Leinart as the 10th overall pick. Too soon? The Cards a year too late as the 2013 crop of quarterbacks hugely pale in comparison to the 2012 crop. They tried for a playmaker in last year's draft and ended up with Michael Floyd with the 13 overall. Again, too soon?
Arizona had a 2013 season to forget. Yes, they started at 4-0, but it's how you finish that counts and they ended up winning just one game of their last eleven.
The Cardinals were miserable offensively. They finished last in the NFL in rushing, total yards and points. They also finished 28th in passing.
Matt Miller and I rounded up a bunch of football fans, gave them hats and B/R swag, then headed over to Highland Park here in New York City and tried to figure out where the Cardinals have the most pressing needs heading into the 2013 NFL draft.
