This is a list of the top four players in the final four. The list contains one player from each team and why this player is going to control how well their team does in each game. I based this on which player is the most important to each teams success throughout the tournament. I also thought these players would be the key to how each team will play in the next game.
#4 Kalin Lucas
Kailan Lucas is the leader of this tough team. He must play well against Kemba Walker and make sure he does not get hot on the court. Lucas must also improve on his shooting from his last game against Louisville. Also he must make sure that the UConn guards don't get in the paint because that will be trouble for Michigan State.
#3 Scottie Reynolds
Scottie Reynolds is the most important player for Villanova in this tournament. If Reynolds outplays the guards of UNC, then Villanova will win the game. Reynolds needs to hit more of his shots compared to the Pittsburgh game (4-11FG and 0-3 from 3Pt). He must also outplay Lawson at all levels and make sure he pressures Lawson into taking bad shots. Lastly, Reynolds must get the ball to Cunningham a lot and make him a threat against Hansbrough.
#2 A.J. Price
A.J. Price is No. 2 on the list. If A.J. Price is hot on the court then UConn will be in good shape. Price must be a threat in scoring and passing because of how tough Michigan States plays defense. UConn must have Price giving the ball to a hot hand Kemba Walker and to a tough Thabeet. A.J. Price is also UConn's most important player because he must help the role of Jerome Dyson since Dyson's replacement is a young Kemba Walker. A.J. Price must play well for UConn to win.
#1 Ty Lawson
Ty Lawson is the No. 1 player on the list. Ty Lawson must play well against Villanova and he must contain Scottie Reynolds and make sure he does not become a scoring threat. Ty Lawson must also play through the pain because if he goes down, UNC will go down as well. Lawson must also become a scoring threat because if Hansbrough has the same game he did last time out, UNC could be in trouble.
