If it was an early April Fool's joke, I'm sure Tazz probably hoped someone would have let him in on the joke. The former ECW Champion and longtime WWE color commentator was the latest addition to the future endeavors list Tuesday.

According to the Wrestling Observer site, his contract had recently expired and a deal was made to have him on Smackdown through this week.

Peter "Tazz" Senerchia had been with WWF/E since January 2000 when he defeated Kurt Angle at the Royal Rumble. After retiring, he became a full-time color commentator for extended runs on both Smackdown and ECW. However, fans should remember Tazz for being Taz - the bad ass human suplex machine that was a major part of the Paul Heyman-era ECW.

As one of my favorite wrestlers growing up, I wish Tazz well and am looking forward to hearing some interviews with him really soon and hopefully seeing his involvement in the indy scene at some level.

And yes, I think this solidifies that John Bradshaw Layfield will retire as I-C Champion on Sunday and then return to broadcasting - likely on the Smackdown side unless they mix things up at the WWE Draft again.

- More Divas added to Wrestlemania: At the Wrestlemania 25 presser today, Tammy "Sunny" Sytch, the recently retired Victoria, Torrie Wilson, Molly Holly and Jackie Gayda were announced as returning for the 25-Diva battle royal.

- If you're going to Houston for Wrestlemania week/weekend, drop me a line at josh [at] ropesringandcage.com and give us all the info. I'd love to hear about the experience and we may even run your info here on the site. This includes WWE, Booker T's show or Ring of Honor.

Tomorrow, we'll jump into the MMA world with UFC debuting season 9 of The Ultimate Fighter and a Fight Night show featuring Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann.
