The Atlanta Hawks (21-16) have set a new standard of ineptitude for this season on their way to a 97-58 loss to the Bulls (21-15) in Chicago on Monday night .
No, that 58 is not a typo. Neither is this 20, which represents their total for the first half. After mustering 15 whole points in the first quarter, the Hawks thudded and clanked their way to five second-quarter points. The 20 points in a half is a new franchise low.
For the game, the Hawks ended up shooting just 29.3 percent from the floor. The Bulls shot 41.8 percent from the field as they coasted to this easy win.
